Fishing Report for July 25,2021

Lake level is 715.12 and falling with water temp in the upper 80's in the lower part of the lake.  The mid lake area is  lightly stained and some areas are pretty muddy.  Crappie fishing has been pretty good this past week as all my clients got their limits.  The hybrid fishing was pretty tough as the live shad prevailed over a sassy shad imitation, but we did manage a few. J & K Fishing Machines, put on quite a show this week as they caught more fish than their Grandpa and the Guide put together.  It was a happy humbling experience.  By they way, they are twins.  This is really what it is all about, getting young people interested in sports over Video games. Tracy and Jeff made short work of their limits with big fish.  Even though they were plagued by Drum, that didn't stop them from their goal, which was to get their limits before it got hot....Hot it got, but just after they got their limits and back to Sterett Creek

Fishing Report July 12, 2021

Lake level is 716.10 and falling with water temp in the mid to upper 80's in the lower part of the lake.  The mid lake area is  lightly stained and some areas are pretty muddy.  The good news is the Hybrids and White Bass are biting all over the lake.  All hybrids were caught on White sassy shad lures and Green jigging spoons. Crappie fishing has improved as they have moved to the flats to feed on the shad.  Had nice limits last week in 14-25 feet of water fishing 10-11 feet down with minnows.  A few Whites and Drum seem to find their way into that area also along with some nice catfish.  I did fish some timber areas with mild success also using minnows at the same depth.  Accidently picked up a couple of nice Walleyes also. With the lake falling the Whites and Hybrids should be at or near the normal shallow humps and early and late surface action has been common.  Top water Super Spooks, Pop-Rs  and spoons have been the

A Six Hour day on the lake begins at about 8 a.m. and ends at about 2 p.m. for 1 or 2 people $400.00 fuel included.. The third-person charge is $100.00. A half-day on the lake is usually 4 hours for 1 or 2 people. $300.00 fuel included. The third-person charge is $75.00. Tag-A-Long Boats at $100.00 per boat per day with one of the above packages.
