The current Lake Level is 706.14 and the temperature in the mid 50 to loo 60's.  Upper ends of the lake excellent in the ends of the creeks. Crappie are hitting as shallow as 3 ft under a cork in the  backs of the creeks in the warmer water, and at 65-70 degrees it will be game on. Small jigs or minnow fished slow under corks in the backs of coves on pea gravel banks late afternoons until dark is your best bet... I use to think it was March winds and April showers. Now it seems to be just high winds with a few showers thrown in for cooling purposes. I took the winter off this year and plan on a late March 2024 return.  Currently I have plenty of dates open, so make your reservation. Hybrids or wipers, should start about mid May
